EBSCO provides dedicated mobile apps for IOS, Android, Kindle Fire, and Nook devices that allow you to search, check out, view, and return EBSCO eBooks directly from your mobile device. Using EBSCO eBook apps require that you set up both an Adobe ID account and a My EBSCOhost personal account, in addition to downloading the appropriate mobile app for your device.

Step 1. Set Up Your Adobe ID and My EBSCOhost Accounts

First, set up a free Adobe ID account.

Next, log into any EBSCOhost database through the library website, and set up a free My EBSCOhost account.

 

Step 2: Set Up the EBSCO eBook Mobile App

Once you have set up your Adobe ID and My EBSCOhost accounts, download and install the appropriate EBSCO eBook mobile app for you device:

Next, open the EBSCO eBook mobile app and enter your Adobe ID and password. Then click "Authorize."

Step 3: Set Up Georgia Southern as Your Library

After your app is authorized, click on “Find Books” at the bottom of the app.

Next, select your country and state from the drop-down lists, then select Georgia Southern University from the list of Georgia libraries:

You will then be prompted to log in using your Georgia Southern email username and password.

 

Step 4: Search and Check Out Books

After logging in, you will be able to search for an eBook title or browse by category.

When you find the title you’re looking for, select “Download (Offline)” to check out the eBook.

When prompted, enter your My EBSCOhost personal account username and password.

Verify your checkout period and click "Checkout and Download" to download the book to your device.

After your eBook downloads, it will appear in your “Bookshelf.” You will also see how many days are left in your checkout period. You can read the eBook by tapping on the book cover.
