This article describes how to search for works by author in Discover. To search by author, use Discover's Advanced Search, which is available by clicking on the Advanced Search link that appears under any search form in Discover.

To search by author, click on the "Advanced Search" link that appears under any search form in Discover.

In the first form field, enter the author's name.

Select AU Author in the drop-down box to the right of the form field.

Click the Search button.

First, enter the author's name. Then select "AU Author" in the menu of the form field. Next, click the "Search" button.

Discover will now return results for authors with the same or similar names. To further refine your results, click on the title of any result that includes the author you are looking for. In the detailed record of the item, click on the author's name if it is hyperlinked. This will refine your results to only those records associated with the author:

To refine you results, click the author's name in any item detail record.

Discover may not include any or all works by a particular author. If Discover does not return the results you expect, try variants of the author's name.
