In addition to archived issues, Georgia Southern Libraries provides access to recent issues of both Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Savannah Morning News via NewsBank. These Georgia newspapers are available in full text, including same-day articles and full-color image editions that replicate the print layout, complete with photographs and graphics.

  • Atlanta Journal-Constitution: Recent issues available from 2017 to the present. More information about AJC, including instructions on creating permalinks, can be found via this FAQ

  • Savannah Morning News: Recent issues available from 2024 to the present. More information about SMN, including instructions on creating permalinks, can be found via this FAQ.

These resources provide access to regional journalism and can support instruction, student research, and staying current on Georgia news and public affairs. NewsBank offers a convenient interface for browsing full issues or searching by keyword.

Both newspaper collections can be accessed through the Libraries’ A-Z Databases list. Please note that attempting to reach these newspapers directly through their public websites may result in limited content.
