Occasionally, you may see an error message of "Looping - SP redirecting back to the login point" when logging into Discover @ Georgia Southern or when using one of the Libraries' EBSCO databases. Here is an example of what this error looks like:

To fix this error, complete the following steps then try logging into the resource again:
- Update your browser to the current version.
Here is how to update the Chrome browser:
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- In the top right corner of the browser, click the 3-dot More menu.
- Click Help.
- Click About Google Chrome.
- Click Update Google Chrome. If you can't find this button, then you're running the latest version.
- Restart Chrome.
- Clear your browser cache.
Here is how to clear your cache in the Chrome browser:
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- In the top right corner of the browser, click the 3-dot More menu.
- Hover over More tools and click Clear browsing data.
- From the Time range dropdown, select All time.
- Check all the boxes.
- Click Clear data.
- Restart Chrome.
By following these instructions, you should be able to resolve the "Looping - SP redirecting back to the login point" error message. If these instructions do not resolve the error, contact the GS Libraries for additional help.
