As part of the University System of Georgia's ongoing migration to a new library services platform (LSP), the Libraries will be transitioning to a new GIL-Find catalog in late summer 2025. If you have any saved records, searches, or other personalized content in your GIL-Find account, we strongly recommend backing those items up before the migration is complete.

Currently, the Libraries are unable to export saved items on patrons' behalf, so the best way to ensure that you don't lose any saved records or searches is to export them manually from GIL-Find yourself.

Here's how to export your saved records:

1. Log in to GIL-Find and select Saved items from the drop-down menu or by selecting the My Favorites push pin icon.

2. Use the box at the top of the list of saved items to select all items

3. Select the three dots menu icon then choose Export to Excel to create a .xlsx file of your saved items.

Once the new GIL-Find is live, you will be able to search for items in Discover @ Georgia Southern and save them to your MyEBSCO account. Exporting your saved records now will help you relocate these items more easily after the migration.

We will update this FAQ if GIL identifies a solution for saving and transferring saved content. If you have any questions or need help exporting your saved content, please contact your library liaison
