As announced May 27, 2015, the Henderson Library uses an elective purchase plan for new books. This means that the library gives first priority to purchasing books explicitly requested by Georgia Southern students, faculty and staff, rather than purchasing books through a traditional "approval plan." By requesting books for purchase via GIL-Find and Discover, whether you wish to read them yourself or simply feel they should be added to the collection, you are contributing to the library collection.
To request ON DEMAND books via GIL-Find, see these instructions.
To request ON DEMAND books via Discover @ Georgia Southern, see these instructions.
